The popularity of electric scooters is on the rise in Qatar, especially with the arrival of cooler weather. These e-scooters are increasingly being used for everyday journeys, such as getting to work or to the metro.
A Facebook group specifically for electric scooter enthusiasts has sprung up in Qatar. The group, which currently has around 1,700 members, organizes various activities in Doha, strengthening the community of electric scooter users in the region. Where can I rent them?

How do you activate them?
3 simple steps:
- Locate – Thanks to the Loop application, you can locate the nearest scooters using GPS technology.
- Scan – Once you’ve reached the scooter, simply scan the QR code and pay via the app to use it.
- Ride – You can then get on the scooter, put on your helmet and ride to your destination.
But how much does it cost?
Users can choose between three plans: the basic plan at 25 QR (+-6.3 euros), the advanced plan at 50 QR (+-12.5 euros) and the pro plan at 100 QR (+-25.1 euros) (with 10 free QR-2.5 euros).
The cost of unlocking is 2 QR (0.50 centimes) and the cost per minute is 0.75 QR (0.20 centimes). Loop users can pay with their debit or credit card.
